First steps, controls on PC and touch.
First steps
The in-game tutorial walks you through these. Each step pays 2 pearls and 5 XP; finishing all pays 20 pearls and 25 XP.
- Stretch your legs
Walk around a little. WASD
- The wreck chest
Follow the arrow to the wreck chest, open it with F and take Silas's letter and the tools.
- Your bag
Open your bag with I. The top row is your hotbar.
- Pick up the axe
Take the axe from the wreck chest if it is still there, then select it in the blinking hotbar slot. 1-8
- Chop a tree
Walk to the marked tree and swing the axe with Space until it falls.
- Break a rock
Select the pickaxe and hit the marked rock with Space.
- Crafting
Open the crafting book with C.
- Make a fence
Find the Fence (2 wood) and press the blinking Craft button. Chop more wood if you need it.
- Your journal
Open the journal with J: quests, the board and friends live there. Your current goal is always on the left.
- Go fishing
Select the fishing rod, stand at the water and cast with Space. Reel in when the fish bites.
- Cook your catch
Go to the campfire, use it with F and grill a fish. Food gives back energy.
- Reach level 2
Chop, mine, fish and follow your objective on the left. Every action gives XP.
- Set sail
Follow the objective to mend the raft, then go to your pier and sail to Market Harbor (F at the boat).
- Meet the locals
Walk up to a townsperson and talk with E.
- Sell something
Open a shop counter with F and sell an item from your bag for Pearl.
- The world map
Open the world map with M. It shows islands and where you can travel.
- Reach level 5
Do quests, daily tasks and the mine. At level 5 you can choose a class. K shows your skills.
- Choose a class
Find Trainer Kaya in Market Harbor (follow the arrow), talk with E and pick your class.
- Learn a skill
In Kaya's window, learn your first class skill.
- Use your skill
Kaya's free weapon just needs to be in your bag: walk near a monster and cast the first skill on your skill bar (Q). That's it, you're ready!

Touch controls
- Drag the left side of the screen to walk
- Use button: swing the tool in your hand
- Run button: hold to run
- Talk button: appears near people and things
- Bag, Chat and More at the bottom
- Tap a hotbar slot to hold that item
Tips
- Tip: walk with WASD, swing your tool with Space or a click.
- Tip: press F next to things to use them, E to talk.
- Tip: the yellow arrow points at your next objective. H shows all controls.
- Tip: drag the left side to walk, tap Use to swing your tool.
- Tip: a Talk button appears near people and things.
- Tip: follow the yellow arrow. More > Help shows all controls.
